SIXTUS V is an innovative experimental music group started in NC, November of 1991. The band creates immersive soundscapes by blending industrial, organic, tribal, electronica and noise/ambient improvisations. All sonic creations are executed with a minimum of programming. The group now unleashes its fusions of sound, art and technology from bases of operations in Washington, DC and Milwaukee, WI.
The continually evolving Sixtus V live show is as important to the band as the music. The goal is experiential sound- attained through full multimedia performance art. To this end, our stage designs consist of custom lighting, projection of original computer animations, original & recombinant video, and collaborations by performers of all types.
Sixtus V is currently adjusting to the finer points of remote collaboration, but will have a permanent web site with new material shortly. As always, stay tuned...
